Armored warrior with a long red blade

An ever-shifting world.

Age of Harvest is a simulation-first traditional roguelike set in a dark, unforgiving world. Beyond the places you know, an ever-shifting labyrinth stretches into the unknown. Its origins have been lost to time, and its mysteries remain unmapped.

Perhaps you are the cartographer foretold to chart its depths and bring about the true Age of Harvest. More likely, you will become one of the countless lives swallowed by its shifting jaws.

Roadmap to Alpha

This is an approximate snapshot of the game as we work toward its first playable alpha. It does not cover everything planned for alpha, and some systems will be more developed than others. It should still give you a fair idea of what is in place and what is missing. A fuller roadmap for the game's long-term vision will follow later.

Q&A

When can I play?

A closed alpha is planned first, focused on balance and serious bugs. Early Access will follow with more content, and development will continue during it. There is no date yet; the Roadmap to Alpha shows approximate progress toward the first private test.

Which platforms?

Windows, macOS, and Linux are planned.

Will it support controllers?

Full controller support and mouse-free keyboard play are longer-term goals, but neither is ready yet. They would also help with potential Steam Deck and console versions; those are not confirmed.

Which languages?

The game will be in English. We plan to localize it, but no other languages have been confirmed yet.

Is there permadeath?

Permadeath will be the default. Game modes will also offer configurable difficulty, including an option to play without permadeath.

Are there classes?

No fixed classes. Each character begins with a background that shapes their natural aptitudes. With enough time, any character can develop any skill, though each new character will be different.

How do injuries work?

There is no conventional health bar. Injuries matter and can affect how you move and fight, but they are just one part of the game.

How can I support the game?

Wishlist it on Steam, join the Discord, and spread the word to anyone who might enjoy it.
